Lakshmi Hindu Goddess
2017- This is a black and white drawing of Lakshmi Goddess, popular in India and among Hindus all over the world.
She is usually represented with many jewels as she is the goddess or wealth and prosperity. The Lotus is her characteristic flower.
I really liked drawing this goddess because there is so much details that goes around her, each with a particular signification.
Mythology has many stories that are fascinating, and I love to work on that. I tried to make Lakshmi more into nowadays persona as we always see the same pictures everywhere. Youngsters don't have the same interest as their elders and I think this is a way to keep them interested. If there is something new to it, them it may be more welcoming in some minds.
